"Latest version of EA Javelin Anticheat is required" blocks launch on PC

On PC, the game can refuse to start with "The latest version of EA Javelin Anticheat is required to play", and updating through the Javelin installer fails. Repairing or reinstalling EA Javelin Anticheat fixed it for some players but not all. EA support is troubleshooting in the thread; no known-issue acknowledgement yet.

    EA staff: the error means the anticheat can't find the install folder or start the game; they suggest running the EA app as administrator and launching from it, then reinstalling EA Javelin Anticheat.
